It's been a wonderful summer! Hiking in the High Sierras with 11 friends, PYM Annual Sessions, time with my granddaughter, beginning a new relationship with David, and wonderment that at 62 I'm starting a new relationship (after 15 years), all made for a thoroughly enjoyable summer. I didn't get to do a long bike trip because of the fires, but the rest of the summer was filled with joy and wonder and lots of being outside running, hiking, swimming and spending time getting to know David. Time to get back to work now. At school today putting up schedules and syllabii and meeting with students today. Actually begin teaching tomorrow and I'm looking forward to it.
